Eenvormigheid is een goede zaak. In de USA worden veel ansichtkaarten gemaakt op het bekende (standaard) formaat van 10 centimeter vertikaal en 15 centimeter horizontaal.

Washington, District of Columbia

The U.S. Capitol building is the primary symbol of the United States Government.
It houses the U.S. Congress and is one of the most visited sites in the District of Columbia.
The U.S. Capitol building is distinguished by its prominent Dome and ornate Rotunda.

Here you see the tall buildings of the downtown skyline of L.A.,
the 110 freeway that comes from the L.A. harbor,
and the large, low structures of the L.A. Convention Center.
The background is the snow-capped San Gabriel Mountains.

The skyline of Indianapolis is lit up by fireworks displays held on Independence Day and Labor Day.

Kansas City, Missouri

Kansas City's tall buildings seem dwarfed by the 217 foot tower of Liberty Memorial Museum.
The museum complex is designated as America's National WW1 Museum.
The tower, being the focal point of the complex offers elevator rides tot the top
for the birdseye view of Kansas City, Missouri.

Philadelphia: Independence Hall

Constructiuon of this Independence Hall began in 1732 and was completed in 1756. Its formal title is the Pennsylvania State House.
It served as the meeting place for the state and provincial governments, as well as the Constitutional Convention which was lead by George Washington. It is regarded as the birthplace of the USA.

Oklahoma City:  State Capitol Building

Oklahoma City is the capital and the largest city in the state of Oklahoma.
Oil, natural gas, petroleum products and related industries are the largest sector of the local economy.
The city is situated in the middle of an active oil field and oil derricks dot the capitol grounds.

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

In 1906, when then President Theodore Roosevelt dedicated the Capitol, he described it as "the handsomest  building I ever saw". The Italian Renaissance-style building with a 272-foot vaulted dome models St.Peter's Basilica in Rome.
